30th October 2013 at around 8.30 pm in the night, when the
residents of Kanyadoto location in Ndhiwa district went agape on the sudden
death of a young man who had been invited to assist in bringing a tree down suddenly
met his death by its fall.
The gentlemen were
cutting down the huge tree by the use of a power saw at the boy’s home in the weird
hour of the night for reasons that haven’t been clear up to the moment, when
they suddenly saw the deceased passing and asked him for a hand.
Being that it was dark and there was no proper lighting apart
from the phone light, ‘mlika mwizi’, at the scene, the gentleman walked towards
them not knowing that the tree was almost coming down. Just before joining his
colleagues, the hug tree flushed on him, crushing his body beyond recognition;
narrated one of the eye witnesses to NCV.
The matter was reported to Ndhiwa police station as the
police ferried the body to HomaBay mortuary as they probed further
investigation on the matter.
